Terms of Service

FastGuard is an educational tool, not a medical device. This app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. By using FastGuard, you acknowledge the health risks of extended fasting and accept full responsibility for your fasting decisions.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using FastGuard ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
FastGuard is a mobile application designed to help users manage extended fasting sessions (24 hours and beyond). The App provides:
- A fasting timer with phase tracking
- Crisis Mode — a structured intervention during moments of temptation
- Educational content about fasting phases and cellular processes
- Fasting history and progress tracking
- Notification-based reminders and alerts
3. Health Disclaimer
Extended fasting carries significant health risks including but not limited to:
- Electrolyte imbalance
- Dizziness, fainting, and loss of consciousness
- Muscle loss and metabolic disruption
- Low blood pressure and heart irregularities
- Worsening of pre-existing medical conditions
- Potential triggering or worsening of eating disorders
You must consult your healthcare provider before attempting any fast beyond 24 hours.
Fasting beyond 72 hours should only be done under direct medical supervision.
FastGuard is not suitable for individuals with eating disorders, pregnant or nursing women, children under 18, or individuals with diabetes, heart conditions, or other chronic illnesses without explicit medical approval.
4. Educational Content Disclaimer
All content in FastGuard, including but not limited to Cell Health Phase Cards, fasting phase descriptions, and scientific references, is provided for educational purposes only.

- Scientific claims are based on published research but may not reflect the full scientific consensus
- Individual results may vary significantly
- References to Nobel Prize-winning research (autophagy) are for educational context and do not imply specific health benefits for any individual
5. User Responsibilities
By using FastGuard, you agree that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have consulted a healthcare provider about extended fasting, or will do so before fasting beyond 24 hours
- You take full responsibility for your fasting decisions and their health consequences
- You will use the maximum fasting hour limit feature responsibly as a safety measure
- You will stop fasting immediately if you experience severe symptoms (chest pain, confusion, persistent vomiting, fainting)
- You understand that Crisis Mode is a motivational tool, not a medical intervention
6. Subscription and Payments
Free Tier: FastGuard provides core functionality for free, including the fasting timer, basic history (last 7 days), and limited Crisis Mode usage (3 times per month).
Pro Subscription: Additional features are available through a paid subscription. Pricing, features, and payment terms are displayed in the App at the time of purchase.
- Subscriptions are processed through Google Play Store or Apple App Store
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings
- Refunds are subject to the respective app store's refund policy
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding of FastGuard are the property of FastGuard and its developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
User-generated content (such as "message to future self" entries and craving logs) remains your property. This content is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- FastGuard is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will meet your specific requirements
- We are not liable for any health consequences resulting from your use of the App or your fasting decisions
- We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device malfunction, app updates, or uninstallation
- Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FastGuard, its developer, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your fasting activities, or your violation of these Terms.
10. Modifications to the App and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling the App deletes all your FastGuard data permanently.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
